This fall we did photos with Jessica Janae because I needed new photos for the blog design that was in the works at the time (it was released last week!). I knew it was time to get updates photos done because the photo I was previously using was one of my bridal photos. I didn’t need nor want a session full of photos of myself, so Jessica suggested I invite Ryan to the shoot so we could get some updated photos of us and snap a few of just me while we were there. Since the new site design went live, I thought I’d share the photos!
I usually dread being in front of the camera, but Jessica always has a way of making me feel comfortable and forget my concerns about how my flaws might translate in the photos. She is hilarious and shooting with her is like hanging out with one of your pals and getting some photos along the way. Her work is just stunning – just wait until you see the commerical shoot my mom did for her jewelry business with Jessica (I’ll share some of the photos in May).
I had the beautiful Vivian do my makeup and hair for the photos, because she is pretty much the goddess of the makeup industry. I usually don’t wear a lot of makeup (mainly because I’m awful at hair and makeup), but I let Vivian do her magic.
Since it was November and most of the beautiful fall leaves had already turned dull and brown, we decided shoot at the studio and also downtown to mix it up.
