When I say simple, I really mean SIMPLE.
This simple siracha salmon will seriously make you look good at your next dinner party. It’s like company dinner meets fastest weeknight dinner meets I’m so fan-saaaay.
Just how I like it.
If you were going to be stranded on an island for the rest of your life and could bring 5 foods, what would they be? This is always one of my questions to ask on double dates, because you learn a lot about people from these type of questions. One time, a friend of Ryan’s said apples was his first choice. For Ryan, his list includes sushi, Indian food, and my avocado hummus. Salmon is always on my list.
I absolutely love salmon.
Salmon has such a fabulous flavor that you really don’t really need to do much to it to make a meal that just melts in your mouth.
Sriracha, cholula, salsa, cayenne pepper, and red pepper flakes are staples in our house. Ryan was 4 years old when he popped a spoonful of spicy salsa into his mouth. His parents waited and watched for the tears, but he dug the spoon back in the bowl.
It was the beginning of a life long love of all things spicy.
I am always looking for ways of adding a little spice into life. As much as I love salmon with lemon and pepper, I just don’t think we can ever go back. This recipe is just that good and that dang simple.
I don’t know about you, but I am feeling like such a fatty after eating all the delicious Christmas food. I swear even my yoga pants feel tight. Okay maybe I am imagining things, but it is sure getting me motivated to get ready for the 2015 swimsuit season!
How do I eat healthy with my busy schedule? I make lots of simple, healthy, and delicious recipes!
Salmon is packed with omega-3 fatty acids, which may help prevent coronary disease, Alzheimer’s disease, and depression. Plus, I swear salmon is the easiest thing in the world to make. I hear a lot of people say they just aren’t sure how to make salmon.
My secret? I know salmon is done when the white stuff starts to oozing out! This means the fish is cooked thoroughly and you don’t have to worry about biting into raw fish, if raw fish just ain’t your thing. I trust this method more than my timer. YES, the white stuff is normal and safe to eat; it’s protein coming from the fish. Once the protein starts to come out, it is time to take out the salmon and enjoy!
MMMMM…. salmon. I swear this sriracha salmon just melts in my mouth every time.
